I have overwhelmed myself in past by trying to achieve too
many things- all at the same time. I tell myself- if I can’t achieve them all- there
is no point. Even at this point, I do stand by my opinion- a person got to try and
achieve it all. But no person can achieve it all at the same time. If there are
6 areas of my life which are mess- I can’t clean all of them up magically in one
day. I need to go about them one by one. I have picked my sequence- first and foremost-
I am going to get control over my weight. I want to return my mirror what it has
lost few years back.

Juvenile Crime
I was reading about this experiment-
Scientists in 60s were monitoring monkeys on a remote
Japanese island who were cleaning sand off sweet potatoes by washing them in a
stream. When the critical mass of monkeys doing this activity reached a certain
number, primates on another island began doing the same thing. Ken Keyers Jr.
took this experiment as a metaphor for an individual’s personal responsibility
to think peace. You never know if you might be the “hundredth monkey” exploding
the common consciousness into mass understanding-
Moral of the story- if you think something has to be
done keep doing it- it might change the way things are done by EVERYONE
And that brings me back to the topic of juvenile crime-
There are 3 factors which have to be considered very
seriously in matter of juvenile crime-
1- In many
states where Government jobs are a fad- the registered birthdays of children is
not accurate- not just in lower classes, but also in middle class. In India
where documentation process has lots of loopholes- how sensible it is to keep
laws which depend on these false documents?
2- Even
if the date of a criminal’s birth is correct, if system sticks to juvenile
laws- is it not sending the signal to youth- if you want to commit a crime do
it before you turn 18? So rather than discouraging child abuse- is our system
not motivating the youth to abuse others??
3- And
third, last but most important, not just in case of rape- but for any sex
offense- how sensible is it to stick to juvenile laws- if a 16 year old boy
sexually abuse a 15 year old girl (real case)- is he not doing crime of heinous
nature for which he must be punished. If a person is mature enough to force
others to comply with his sexual needs- he is surely mature enough to bear the
consequence.
Sexual crimes must NOT undertake the age of criminal in consideration.
And a law has to be passed in this regard- IT IS HIGH
TIME FOR THE CHANGE

Past- A Poem
There are so many corners.
I don’t even know where to begin.
There are so many distortions; I don’t know what to
trust.
There are only inferences and that too at the place
where I want to find them.
There is no truth.
So what am I looking for?
Am I looking for only a good story?

Thank You- Mrityunjay
5 years is not a small time. People lose trust in their own
selves in such a long duration. I lost trust in me. I started thinking my words
are meaningless, my existence inconsequential- but you didn’t think that. You loved
me when I was at my worst. You loved me when it was impossible for me to love my
own self. Mrityunjay Gautam- my husband- my lover- my best friend- I want to thank
you today- for being who you are to me.
At this moment I am feeling love for you in every single
pore of my body- every corner of my mind and soul. When I looked around and found
just darkness- you held my hand and told me, trust me and walk- I will not leave
your hand. I continued to walk in darkness. Did it frustrate me? Yes it did and
how! So when I stumbled on my way, who was the person who became the target of my
laments and swears- you. Then what did you do? You didn’t leave my hand even when
I struggled- you told me. You will walk with me.
Today I thank you for walking with me. I thank you for tolerating
me. I thank you for loving me.

Unconditional Love
Unconditional love- there are 2 kinds of love a human being
experiences-
1- Conditional
love- father’s love
2- Unconditional
love- mother’s love
In all the other relationship in life, we try to replicate
one of the patterns of loving. A person develops the ability to love unconditionally-
either through discipline and working on one’s psychology- or through the way she
was loved as a kid. In other words, if a person was loved unconditionally say 8
points on a scale of 10- the person will develop the ability to love unconditionally
8 points on a scale of 10.
The world does become a much better place if people learn
how to love unconditionally.
So the easiest way to make the world a better place is to
love your own child.
