Why world is going to be a better place for women in future?

The ability to recognize and feel emotions is one of the fundamental human qualities. I have no idea at what point in evolution people started undermining emotions. As a matter of fact, if you see MBTI- there are feminine traits and there are masculine traits. As a society, we have learnt to overvalue masculine traits and undervalue feminine traits-

  • Introversion (F) Vs Extroversion (M) - Extroversion is valued
  • Intuition (F) Vs Sensation (M) - Sensation is valued
  • Feeling (F) Vs Thinking (M) - Thinking is valued
  • Perception (F) Vs Judgment (M) - Judgment is valued

I am sure it must have served some purpose. But if anyone is observing a 180 degree change in the way human mind is adapting to its environment after computer science and new age thinking changed the way we perceive our world, it should not come as news that soon, demographics will change.

The New Age world will demand more-
·        Introversion
Intuition
Feeling
Perception

I do not make a claim that these qualities are present in women only, not at all. I say that these qualities are feminine in nature. A man can have feminine qualities and a woman can have masculine qualities. The world we are going to face in future will demand that both men and women possess the qualities in equal balance.

The need for men in war is decreasing (or should decrease) and the need for men in home is increasing. Similarly, today, a woman doesn't have to choose between staying with her kids vs. going out in the world to make a living. Any creative mind can think of thousands of ways to make the best of both the worlds. This change in scenario is going to change the way human beings have lived the lives till this point in evolution.

Look at it this way; say you are going to a school. Till last year, in your school kids who scored high in Maths were considered geniuses and kids who scored high in drawing were considered idiots. Now, M F Hussain becomes the principal of your school and he decides to score people on their drawing aptitude. Don’t you think that the dynamics of the school and the way people are graded will change? Of course, it will. Same thing is going to happen about the perception of women in future generations. For the first time in history of humanity, women will actually be respected as much as men. It’s because the world is coming to a point where feminine traits have finally gained respect.

I have a strong belief that in so-called Satyuga of India, this was the situation. Women had true respect in society. Not because, it was a Satyuga or something. But because the qualities that are more naturally present in women were highly respected in society. The feminine qualities had true respect in society.

In Praise of Slowness

I have made a decision. It is a creative decision but feels as important as life itself. Starting today, every single day I will make one entry in one of my blogs.

I want to send the signal to Soul of Universe that I am absolutely ready to be heard. I feel like a person who has found her medium. There was silence. Few minutes back there was complete silence and now I hear the humming of the souls and breaths…

I feel alive. It is unique to feel alive in spite of the fact that every single “alive” moment we share this experience with so many others.

I am drinking this night time green tea, never thought I will fall in love with green teas; but never say never, here I am sitting at my laptop and shipping green tea, something I have recently got addicted to.

It took me time to find answers. Yes, I am slow, very slow and in a world where speed is considered synonymous with effectiveness, I am not effective; but then there are this corners of life where your voice just speaks and you don’t care about who hears you. And in that place, you suddenly say, “I don’t mind being slow”

I am slow, and I am ok with it. I learn at snail’s speed, and that doesn't make me a fool. Why are we so obsessed with the finishing line? Is it a crime to savor the moments and enjoy the journey with all that virginity we will never experience once we reach the destination? There is still voice that says, no, it is not a crime. It sounds like a voice of a child. It feels that there is this little voice of 5-7 years old. She is not self assured. She wants the approval. She feels the fear, just like every other emotion, she feels it like a tornado. When she answers me in that voice, I know I can hear her. But then the cacophony starts and I start to miss out on all those voices. I feel desperate most of the time. I fear the slowness. I try to be fast. I hurt my metaphysical knees. I have to slow down. I feel inferior and again that voice, why are you running? It is so wonderful out here. Where do you want to reach? I don’t know. I want to reply. But in lack of right words, yes, adults hardly find right words, I tell her to shut up. She goes and sits in a corner. I know she is right. It doesn't take maturity to realize that she is right. It requires courage, and most often adults don’t have courage.
